does it always do it during certain games? Do you have it standing or laying? Do you have enough space around it that air can get to it? Do you have an auxiliary cooling fan on it? It can be any number of things...I would suggest calling up XBOX and asking if they have any knowledge of this problem with other peoples consoles...and if so, they may replace it....have you gotten the ring of death yet?
