Cost to Engineer and Produce the new Hummer?

Anyone have a guess? I have no clue, James?

What I "know" is they have 65,000 reservations with a price of $80,000 to $100,000. So take the median of $90,000 that $5,850,000,000 in sales.

What percentage would be GM profit? I mean just general profit form the vehicle. $50,000? $40,000

Even at $40000 that is 2.6 billion in sales on the first year.

I highly doubt they make a straight 40K in profit, but then again I really can't say I know what I'm talking about when it comes to these EVs.

I've heard that the accounting at the big three is so complicated they usually have no idea how much they really make an any one sale.

Hopefully someone smart comes in but I would guess it was probably close to the billion dollar mark or more to engineer. From what I can see, the Alpha program cost a little over a billion

I guess my "point" was at the cost and sales rate they should easily make a profit off this vehicle.
