Why post on multiple Holden threads?

The moderator of one of those sites (NOT this one) questions my motivation. To the threat of banning me. What a tragedy that would be! (Irony). Feels I disparage the divine origin of his site by posting on other Holden sites with unflattering (according to him) comparisons between the Holden cars, even if they are so similar. Insert invective here. For those who care, it's all because of the year 2000 Holden Engineering Review. Of all Holden cars before 2000. As I own a bunch of the post 2000 Holdens, I took the review seriously. Learned many valuable things for improving the post 2000 Holdens. Sadly, Holdens death spiral had started by 2000 and none of the excellent recommendations for improvement were incorporated. Good news is various companies like Whiteline, BMR and Spohn read the review and produced products based on it. My posts on all the Holden sites illuminate all the liabilities and assets with mitigating photos. Benefits are of course subjective. Intelligent feedback welcome.

I was starting to eyeball SS sedans since the back seats seem more car seat-friendly than a Camaro, but holy prices.

Try a Caprice. Far more room, longer wheelbase= a 50/50 weight distribution side to side and front to back. SS not close. Much less expensive and a look at The New Caprice Forum, Member Build by Katrina (my daughter) will be worth it.

As much as I'd love a Caprice, at this point most are probably in rough shape unless you find a 9C3 model that got forgotten in some agency's parking lot.

Yeah, I'm down with buying used but not that used.

Yep. And on top of that, if you need a sedan for car seat purposes, there's the main caveat with buying ex-patrol cars that people don't seem to think about: people vomit/piss/crap in the back constantly.

Sounds like a perfect choice for a kid in a car seat.

Caprice condition

Remote auction, three 2014 Caprices from the Mountain View, Ca PD, all <$10K each. No rust, bumps or bruises. Perfectly maintained, all came with new 235/50-18 RS-A's, clean oil and trans fluid, all bought at the same time from 6k miles away. Back seats don't look like anyone's ever sat in them. Perfect mechanicals, sold one of the L77 engines here for ~$5K USD. The 9C3's ended in 2013. since then they were just detective model 9C1's.
