Site has been slow all day today for me.
They really need to kick their web host to the curb and switch to someone else.

The main pages of Camaro5 and Camaro6 load fine. It isn't until you move into the Forums that things go off the rails. This means that there's likely a LOT the admins can control. If they continue to ignore the issue, they're going to lose users, then sponsors, then money until the site shuts down. Maybe it's time to just dump things here and start a brand new site for Camaro fans of all generations and bring everyone together. It seems to me that the admins here couldn't care less about us. |

It's difficult to know whether the "front page" and the Forums are on different hosts or if the /forums path simply causes the Apache instance to load different software. Database connectivity and optimization could be in play, but the Admins should be able to not only report on that but potentially take corrective action around it. The real issue at this point is the complete lack of ANY sort of communication from the Admin's about the issue. That tells me they either aren't aware or don't care - and neither is positive. |

The Ford Mustang forums are built on the newer versions of Vbulletin. Maybe the admin owns a Mustang and is trying to be cute by keeping us at older technology just like our OHV engines....

By the way, OHV with pushrods is older indeed, but the point must be at least mildly tongue-in-cheek, since we're talking about 1904 vs 1912

Corvette Forum is a fine example where members are valued. Admins over there respond within an hour of any questions I have. I remember the old Z-28 Forum back in the late 90s, early 2000 -- that has a great Forum. |

Since I bitch when it's slow, I guess I should say good job as it's seemed to be stable for the past week or so. Would still love to see it upgraded to the latest as it's nice to tag people, and "like" responses. But oh well. Maybe we should pull a "Musk" and perform a buyout...for the last two years of the Camaro...
