Lsa with current set up

Ok.. hear me out..

I currently have gpi ss4nfc, circle d 4k, and 3.91.. the plan is really to find a centri kit and add it and go from there

BUT

I was offered a full lsa 3belt kit for 4500 with power steering pump etc etc etc. Everything except injectors with new lid

Now I do no this isn't the idea set up, but I'm willing to change it little at a time starting with the cam first. Is it possible to get a custom cam that will work better with the set up currently.. even if it meaning launching in 2nd. Or should I keep searching for ba centri kit (ecs or ess )

Car is a weekend warrior.. warriors.. see the track a lot 1/8th & 1/4. But will also see Mexico from time to time.

Tna

In my opinion the LSA kit is much more difficult to install. Heat exchangers, pump, hoses, ect. Then you'll probably want to add meth to keep intake temps down, as thats a side effect of most PD blowers. Plus I'm assuming it' used, so there is a small gamble there.

The upside is instant torque, and probably more fun for dialy driving (once you get the right cam and get it tuned). It may eat more gas since you'll get into boost more.

On the other hand the ESS entry kit is $5800 with the V3Si, or $6000 for the G2.
You could safely get 750whp out of either the LSA (approaching max) or the G2, but the LSA would probably be faster, due to the higher, flatter torque curve.

The Centri is by far way easier to install in my opinion, and you already have the cam.

I was going to point out, that in the future you could always upgrade the head unit in the ESS kit, but you could also upgrade the LSA to one of the Kong ports. So thats a wash.

Cam swaps are a bitch man, stick with your plan.

Does the LSA excite you or are you settling?

As far as the custom cam goes - GPI will do that for you.

Are you still with a 6l80? Downside to a PD with 6l80/3.91's besides traction is on 1/4 mile you will more than likely end up getting into 5th gear before the traps unless you can really stretch out the rpms. Mine is shifting around 7-7100 and thats not enough to stay out of 5th gear for my set up.

Gotcha. A PD blower will give you some fun for sure. I really enjoy driving mine more since adding the Heartbeat SC.

I saw that one as well. That was a good deal.

My current set up is:
SBE
Mag heartbeat 2300 with the ZL1 snout (SS snout points towards the front of the car, ZL1 snout points towards the left headlight)
3.40 griptec pulley
ZL1 fuel pump, DSX aux pump, 1050 injectors on e85, factory TB
GPI SS3 PD blower cam (requires the LS3 conversion), GPI ported heads
RPM 5" CAI

Im in the process of adding:
billet ZL1 snout that will use a NW 103 TB
Alky meth injection
ZL1 diff w/3.23's
Re-stalled converter as the 3600 was too tight.

That's a nice set up.. I was thinking if I went lsa, I would eventually upgrade to a Kong 2650.. gpi ss3, u also thought about a zl1 diff but that's only if I decide to go 6l90 and yea.. f I was too buy a kit now,it wouldn't go on till winter, so it'll give me time to buy stuff I need to change and fuel

That's a nice set up.. I was looking into the ss3sc and probably going to go from there. I know I want to eventually upgrade to a Kong 2650 if I do go that route

Thanks! This time last year I was heavily leaning towards the LSA and the Kong as well. When I was ready to start ordering parts most of it was on back order with no eta so I went with the Heartbeat.
