Sorry - maybe I just used bad phrasing. When I said "if one more person comes into the v6 forum and makes a 'should have bought a V8' comment" I meant "one more V8 person comes into the V6 forum to tell us that we should have bought V8's."

I think the difference is in the "should have bought a V8." It could be read as "I should have" or "You should have" which obviously have vastly different meanings.
