I hear ya. My Alembics were acquired 20 years ago. Expensive then, but about 20% the price of a new one today. The two on the ends. I sold the one in the middle about 15 years ago. Still kicking myself for that.

Haven’t been on this forum for a few weeks.
Saw this thread and thought it might be a fun read. Ugh! An old ugly cheap Mustang favored over a Camaro. Is the end of the Camaro really GMs execs fault?

Well, yes and no. Part of it is the change in what car buyers want. I hate to make general statements but I will here: Younger men and women for that matter are not into cars like we were. Young men want trucks, even if they'll never use the "truck" part of it. No idea why or what the attraction is. Or, others are very "green" leaning and cars are only a tool or an appliance in their lives like a washing machine or toaster. They dont view driving as a hobby or sport per se. That hurts sales and isnt GMs fault. The "track day" or even basic sports car driver are becoming less common. Very sad and tragic but seems to be true.
The execs though are to partially blame for not marketing the Camaro properly to its core buyers or potential buyers. Ford and Dodge are doing that better. The styling is great on the newer Camaros, IMO, and the engine options & configs are also welcomed and make the car more attainable to more people. Thats all good and they got that right. But wheres the excitement for the car? Where are the ads? Wheres the marketing for it? |

simply referring to sales of the camaro and my opinion why it didn't sell. i agree, i think it's a win. i bought one 3 years ago and don't plan on selling it.

.I think the boss would be little faster the first few laps on a road course. Then heat would slow it down. The v6 would need premium fuel to do it's best and for it's health.

A lot of misinformation on page 6. The Boss DOES NOT handle poorly and DOES NOT overheat. Come on y'all...before you bash another product - drive it. My brother had a 2013 and I am in the market for a 2012. The Boss is a PHENOMENAL car and was produced in a similar vein to the 1LE. To be a track monster...of which it is. I would take the Boss over the v6 1LE any day. The only problems were the shitty chinese made getrag mt-82. If you plan to track, the Boss needs a new clutch/MGW shifter.
