However, allow me to rebutt because the charge that BSU is padding their schedule has come up a lot. However there is a lot of pressure here to make a bowl game. BSU has been trying to get a tougher schedule but some better teams have refused. Ostensibly because they don't like the time difference. A 7pm game here is 9 there and they say they lose viewership so the PAC 10 and Mountain West become our prime targets to get games out of. You also have to remember that there are WAC obligations so a major portion of the schedule isn't going to get us anywhere.

Next year we do play VTech and OSU as OOC games right off the bat. Believe me BSU wants to be playing more top 25 teams. I don't think they want to be playing team Tebow, but they certainly want more BYUs, Cincinnatis, Oregons, etc.

I remember when they came down to UGA..lol...unfortunately UGA is not doing well at all this year..worst since 1996

Ya you've mentioned that one before Not our best year (2005 9-4). We got a new coach in 2006 and since then, including post-season, from 2006 until now BSU has lost a TOTAL of 4 games. However you slice their schedule- that's a rare achievement in NCAA. Hard to make fun of a team for performance of 5 years ago when so much changes in the NCAA every year. Unless they are consistantly bad that is.

Ya BSU has gotten some press they maybe weren't ready for. Since I actually went to BSU though, I'm allowed to enjoy the view from the high horse. And be nice, I know how to spot your El Camino now.

And I graduated from UGA, played football and baseball there also...so until yall beat us in a game...lmao...lol..oh yeah the El Camino is getting painted also

Ok let me Clarify, One of my best friends went to Boise and is a HUGE fan. I would love to see Boise get a piece of the BCS action (even though I think they are weaker today than they were when they took out Oklahoma)

My comment was more about... yes Boise is doing great... but give yourselves a real schedule so that you can stop playing BCS buster EVERY YEAR, it gets old. My buddy is as die hard for them as I am for UF, and he has guys on the inside. I hear him rant and rave about their lack of interest in seeking a harder schedule.

Go smurfs, but go play some real games. May I suggest Oklahoma. They seem to hate big games.

I hear ya. I have a 'friend on the inside too'. Mine says they have been trying to get tougher games. Either way though, I agree that BSU needs a tougher schedule. My personal feeling is that they won't get beyond a BCS Buster phase until they can move out of the WAC or the WAC improves to get some parity with Mountain West. I just think we're tied to half our schedule being considered weak for the foreseeable future. If we get 50% of our OOC games being ranked teams (say Oregon, VTech, and maybe BYU), that's still going to leave a weak overall schedule so I just don't see a way to break out of it.

Bring on USC or anyone else for that matter. Our coaching staff thinks out of the box and uses athletes that give everything they have each and every day to gain the respect of the "old" schools. We have been trying get into the Mountain West conf for about 3-4 years but the schools in that conference are afraid that Boise State will come into that conference and dominate like they have in the WAC. WAC Champions 7 out of 8 years since joining the WAC. Just keep em comin ( the better teams) and we'll let the scoreboard do all the talking. Go Broncs!
