I've rebuilt Carbs before. 21 bucks for a rebuild kit over 200+ for an aftermarket..

15-30 for the fitting. Leaves me some cash left over to continue my savings account for the '10.

1200 (gonna try for 1000 even.) + 107 TTL +500-700 basic liab. + 21 CRK + 15 T fitting = $1850 for a fully functioning 84 Berlinetta.

2500-1850= 650 left over.

Eh.. At least I'll have a nice 84 Berlinetta that's only missing the stalk radio (broke according to the owner, was going to replace but never got around to it. Had a tape deck.. therefore fail.)

I have a spare stereo deck you can have if you can wait until C5fest. Would need an adapter though to fit the third gen stereo space. Its a tape and AM/FM but there is a tape jammed in it (was like that when I got it) that I haven't been able to get out. I think the tape part can be fixed. The radio works fine.

I'm probably going to save up for a touch screen interface down the line a ways. Keeping with the ZOMG DIGI FUTUREZ Berlinetta theme. I'd have to fab a whole mounting space for it since if you recall, the Berlinetta's radio was stalk mounted. Amp, stereo wires.. everything's down there.

I'll just listen to the 305 for a while.. toss my Ipod in there w/ speakers. It's looking like my wait for a 'maro may be a while if everything's kosher I'm going to jump on it, put the mute button on the 'rents and stow it in their garage.





Also gonna pull the thing they said after I sold the bike: "We'd rather you be working on a Camaro than a bike.. so we won't flip out."
