Mount Gun Magnet on right side of steering kick panel?

I'd like to mount the following magnet in the picture location. How do I get this panel off and is there an airbag behind there that's going to surprise me? Thank you.

Your picture shows a 5th gen Camaro but you posted on camaro6.com, I'm sure you'll get more responses in the 5th gen forums.

I checked the 6th gen service manual for you nevertheless, see a picture below of the knee airbag that might be an obstruction, but of course I'm not sure if the 5th gen has it or there is a difference in placement.

That's odd, my website right now says camaro5.com. I don't have a camaro6 login. But thanks for the info, I'll take a look under the dash and see if it looks similar. I'm pretty sure it's just plastic where I want to mount the magnet but I'm not taking any chances.
