I just went old school over the holiday. C3, it was my bucket list, ticked all my boxes, and was within 20 minutes of my house. I took it as a sign. 😀
Now my wife can stop worrying about me modding her SS.

That’s awesome. What engine and transmission?

C6 is the best looking Vette all around. Really enjoyed mine as it was heavily modded.
Enjoy!

Awesome. I had a 72 corvette convertible for about 25 years. My father and I put in the entire drive train (ending/trans/rearend, etc.)..

Very fun car to have.. enjoy

Crate GM Performance 350 and 4-speed. Original numbers matching 270hp 350 came with it. Previous owner put in the crate motor when the original had a serious cam issue.

I just recently made a Vette purchase also. '03 Z06 with a 495 HP LS3 crate motor installed by Vengeance Racing for PO. I'm doing a few maintenance items then my plan is a bit of Auto X and a track day or two. Really like the C6s also. I'd like to eventually get a cream puff C6 Z06 to have another LS7 powered machine. Let the record show my Z/28 is my forever keeper.

C6 is a great model no doubt. I owned two Z51 coupes.
But I do like my 2016 SS vert better and my wife likes it for road trips a lot better too.
Always felt claustrophobic in the vettes. I also had a C5z06.

Lately I’ve been jonesing to add a C6Z06 to my line up.
But I would sell my M5 not the SS. For now that’s a keeper for me.

Congrats tho ! C6 is a fantastic car and that was one hell of a deal you worked - the trade especially !

Sounds like I made out just fine. I think the car was babied and that's why the fluids were so clean. I think it needed the trans fluid changed as it shifts a lot better now- I put in Redline D4 fluid. That stuff is really good.

The car is such an upgrade from my Camaro V6. My only complaint is it is not "base" enough. Way too many bells and whistles for me. The memory seats, Nav, leather seats, HUD, auto climate control, is overwhelming. I just want V8, manual transmission- manual AC and even window would have been fine.

But the car is an absolute blast to drive.

My deal was so good and I have no loan on it, I could at any time still trade it for a new LT1. That would be the ONLY car I would want other than this C6. Mainly affordability- I can't see spending over 35K on a car- any car.

I had a 71 LT1 Elkhart Green Vette convertible. Nice car.

I sold my 2016 Callaway SS and picked up a 2013 C6Z right before new years!

LS7 is my all time favorite.

Looks awesome! I've had two c6s in the past, actually just sold my recent 09 coupe 2 months ago, and miss it however when my back would start bothering me I found I didn't drive it and it sat. So now I'm looking for a new camaro 2ss 1LE as they seemed a bit easier to get in and out and fun to drive just like the vettes are!

Much better, also easier to park and the doors are not super long which can be a real pain in tight parking lots.
Not really any downside in performance in my experience - heavier cars but the chassis is so stiff and well designed and tuned that you don't honestly notice that at all.
