Agreed. Speed Phenom has a GT350R, a GT500, and a C8 Stingray and tracks all of them. He gets better times with his C8 Stingray. A Z06 or Grand Sport will be that much better.

Yeah I don't know why they would make a comparison with the 350. The C8Z is going to be in another world of performance

Just be prepared for all the Ford fanboys vomiting all over every discussion, if the Z06 comes with a FPC V8.

The GT350R starts at $74,630 with 3.9 sec 0-60 mph and 12.1 sec 1/4 mile. A10 equipped GTs and M6/A10 SSes will run with it on the street. M6 GTs? fugetaboutit. SS 1LE for $45k offers strong street and track performance. PP2 or 2015/16 base GT350s as street only cars?

I figured it was.

I’m sure it will be the best thing ever made since it’s GM. I don’t expect it to make LT2 levels of low end torque but, if it’s 5.5 liters and direct injected, it should make more than the Voodoo.

As far as the engine choice is concerned, believe IMSA/FIA dictate the C8R has to be based on a production engine. GM will have to produce something similar on a street car to track it in the C8R.

I will say it will be hard to really compare because it will be in a mid engine vetter backed by a DCT and some of those factors are going to probably going to offset

I would be pretty surprised if the Z06 is N/A. It's guessing its going to be a small displacement, twin turbo V8 similar to the 488 and not the 458.

The rumor was 5.5L 32V NA DOHC LT6 V8 at 600+ then a ZR1 gets a TT version of it at over 800. All rumors of course. There's a mix of hybrid offerings rumored as well with a new flagship Zora model.

I expect it will be faster in a straight line than the Z51. Its a Chevy thing.
