Round indentions front passenger-side carpet.

Hello guys. I have a 2018 Camaro SS, bought new; have had it 1 year. I just noticed today there are 2 round indentations underneath the passenger-side front carpet, approx 3-4 inches from the front of the seat and approx. 2 feet apart. The area is covered by carpet but I can push the 2 areas downward, almost like the floorboard is missing 2 round inserts. Any thoughts?

No, it’s on passenger side floorboard. Only reason I noticed it was because floormat had indentations on both sides. About 2 inches diameter.

Is it possible to post a picture? Hard to tell what you are describing. I don't notice anything like what you are saying, on my car.

I know that the floor seems to go down when we get towards the pedals and towards the firewall on the passenger side. At least it dives more significantly than it does on any other car I've driven. If that's what you are referring, then I think it is just the floor's normal shape.

The indentations you're describing are probably in the padding/jute backing under the carpet. I've noticed cutouts like that before in the under padding of OEM carpet.

Ok, I just checked mine. I'm pretty sure they are like drainage ditches. I bet if you pull the carpet back or remove the chassis cover you will find rubber drain plugs that can be removed in case the floor gets flooded.

I think you may be right. I assume all Camaros have this, just not very noticeable. Appreciate everyone comments.

If there are holes with plugs in them, it's not in case the floor gets flooded. It's probably for the e-coat primer process when they dipped the bodies at the factory.
