I dded the z/28 for two years. I had no issues with the suspension. I found it very liveable. Re: theater- the ls7 pops, is louder and has a louder stock exhaust note. The z/28 also feels like a very mechanical car - noises from the diff and tranny; the TR isn't nearly as smooth; it's a bad ass sports car with a very specific personality. The zle is very refined. Imo M car or German car brand refined. I appreciate the creature comforts and lap time / and front and rear axle performance are the most important to me. I traded the z/28 for the zle but for the right price I could see getting another z/28 down the road. |

Well, different strokes for different folks I guess... I am obv much taller and a little bigger. I have had many issues with cars that just don't fit people my size (Legacy GT, Pontiac Grand Prix with sunroof to name a few), and I don't even consider myself that big. This car has plenty of leg room, goes back far enough while still allowing me to comfortably reach the steering wheel and can go low enough that I have plenty of headroom without feeling like I'm driving from a ditch. I will also say, I don't know if I've seen a review that called the seats uncomfortable. But one man's trash is another's treasure so

Didn’t I read somewhere that the 2019s have increased the range of the seat throw and recline? Maybe that’s why yours feels restrictive (earlier model) and some of ours doesn’t.

I hadn't read that, but if thats the case, that may also address the problem. Maybe I'll go check out a '19 ZLE.

Okay I'm not sure what to do. I'm first on the list to get a ZL1 at our dealership but I cant make up my mind between a black ZL1 or black Z/28. If I buy either car it not going to be a daily driver just something for fun.
I always wanted a rare car but in the long run do you thing the ZL1 will hold their value vs the Z/28 |

The newer 6th gen Camaro SS1LE with narrower and less costly tires than the Corsa's on the 5th gen Camaro Z28 provides similar performance at the track. So the 6th gen ZL1 is a superior performer compared to the older and heavier 5th gen Z28. The very well developed Alpha chassis is the biggest difference plus is lighter than the older model.

Hi all,
An older thread but I’ll add in. My ‘15 Z/28 (#390) was a nice car for sure. But overall, I would have to go with the two ZLE’s I’ve had. The Z/28 high points were: The best brakes ever!! Great exhaust The very best rear end ratio of 3.90 The Torsen locker!!! Good engine power Best looking factory wheels The Z/28 low points: Yuck! 2.66 1st gear TR6060. Should be 2.29 1st TR6060 The cooling system did not handle desert high heat Terrible stock stereo system ZLE high points: Great motor with 150 more HP Great!!! 2.29 CR TR6060!!! Best trans ever Great creature comforts Never overheated Best looking Camaro ever built, ZL1 or ZLE ZLE low points: The oil pump design Lack of the CC brakes from the Z/28 Plus…the 4 years of minor updates between my ‘18 and ‘22 model years is noticeable. My ‘22 runs so much better than my ‘18 did. If there was only a way to fit a ‘15 Z/28 3.90 rear end cradle assembly into my ZLE, and still have everything work… I’d be extra happy. Just my thoughts, Take care JJ
