I think this is Toyota's "2000Gt" revisited. That car was derivative of a Jag E-Type and sold in very limited numbers.. not at all impressive from a performance point of view.

Personally I'm not impressed in it's projected numbers.. even less so when looking at the price, especially when I could get a ZR1, Z06, GS/Z51, CTS-V, Camaro SS, and a VOLT... for the cost of that thing... and 4 of them could either run with it or Beat it from what I'm seeing.

And "BMW BOY"... I get what U are saying about price isn't a concern for those with the means... BELIEVE IT... but I am damn sure not spending $375K on some CRAPBOX from Toyota that will probably SLUDGE UP or ACCELERATE for no reason only to have Toyota fix the issue with some trash bag ties

I wouldn't spend the $375K on it either. Imagine how many Badass Mustangs I could build for that money.

You could upgrade from your 6-series and buy THREE M6 Coupes with that money and still have enough left over for a 5-series.

I am with most of the people here. If you have that kind of money to spend, why not spend it in a way that supports the fine country you live in? What do you do for a living? Does your paycheck depend on other fine American citizens one way or another? I am so sick of hearing "well it is built here." That is the only argument and that is not even a viable one. DON'T BUY THE TOYOTA SHIT!!!!!:flag2:

no car is truly american anymore, it all started in the 60's i believe when gm started closing down plants in flint, mi and sending those plants and jobs south of the border, then it all went down hill from there, its disgusting... companies cared more about bottom line rather than taking care of its work force, they said the cost to produce would drop but have they? not exactly

Nope. Looks like it will be more like $375,000 for one that makes less torque than your car.

I really, really hate this car.

It isn't particularly powerful, its ugly (more boring looking than the concept version) and it is insanely priced.

In its power range it would compete with the ZR1 or the GTR, but it costs 5x the price of a GTR !

And in its prince range, it would probably get blown away by it's competitors .. Hell, it would get blown away by the ZR1 !

Not to mention, I can't stress how unattractive this car looks! It looks like a friggin supra with a crappy body kit! The FT-86 looks better than this! There obviously is no communication between Toyota's design team.

I really don't understand why this car needs to exist ..

If the interior is nice, it would make more sense for the Lexus halo car be a super-luxery car rather than performance based. A shame they couldn't decide which they wanted to focus on.

Not hardly. Read some of the test drive reviews. It's actually a great driver.
