1. Ford has actually done this before. Chevy was just following suit.

2. Challenger has been offering FAT discounts.

Personally I’d buy the Challenger over the current Mustang at this point. The Ford is just a weird looking car to me and I haven’t had a sunroof-less car in decades, which the Mustang doesn’t offer.
