Throttle Body options Question

alright guys i'm pretty much full bolt on, CAI intake, Long tube Headers, MSD intake Manifold, DSX Flex fuel kit. Only think i need now is a Throttle but i'm very confused with all the options and which one to go for. There is a lot of information out there but its just only getting confusing for me. some are saying for the 103 TB and others saying go with solar TB. and some are throwing other options out. i just want the best bang for your buck option and would love some opinions. thanks.

P.S i will be getting tuned right after the TB.

If you’re looking for $/hp go for the unported LT5.

You can send it to solar later, but before you tune.
Btw you can drive the lt5 on the old tune until solar gets it back you, then get the car tuned

I’m trapping into 120s in 2000+da with Your combo plus a uncut LT5 in a 6spd and stock heavy wheels. Gearing up to finally send it for real this fall

best bang for buck right now is ported 95mm on a N/A its proven and many dynos, 1/4 slips to prove it.

You are also missing an ATI damper and port the MSD manifold to be truly FBO

Might wanna check pray performance for these things you won't regret it.

I heard porting the lt5 isn’t worth that much because it’s a better design than the stock 87mm. The port job costs more than the whole TB

No. You can grind the holes so they line up and it bolts on.

If you’re not comfortable with grinding I’d just go with the tick unit unported IMO they cnc the holes for you. Grinding it at home is straight forward tho

Good point, you would have to speak with him about that.
