As I've said before, kind of a bummer because the 1125CR was the only sport bike I liked. However, overall not a huge loss...

I think it was the head to head move with the jap market and the off the shelf ready $7000 sportsters. It was an un-wanted membership drive into a club that many had to pay out the nose to join with a long long wait. [Members folks buying the on hand $30,000 model while they waited 8months for the one they really wanted.]

They were better off with fewer sales and higher prices.

The hard core fans are now sticking with aftermarket HD clones like ya see built on TV. Looks like a HD, sounds like a HD but the whole thing was done over right.

Sadly, I like harley's but agree that there are a lot of things they could do better, and at lower price...

Personally, I'm a build-it-yourself-custom kind of guy. Thats what I'm doing with my Maxim...

Yes, this is sad news for Buell.

and HD is having a hard time as well. But hey, they have always been slightly more expensive then the rice copies, and have always produced fewer scoots. But they will always be truly American Made. (Unlike My Camaro).

30k for a Buell? For 9k more you can have the Ducati 1098R with all the carbon fiber you can throw at it. Or you can get a 1098S for 19k and use the rest for upgrades.
