Engine Bay Finally Done

Started a project last winter to redo my engine bay in a red, black, and carbon fiber motif. Finally, put the finishing touches on the project yesterday with the installation of custom painted headlight plates. No less than seven vendors contributed their skills to the project.

Picked a theme and stuck with it. I'm not a huge fan of the carbon fiber, but that's just a personal opinion, it works with what you've done and looks great.

I didn't use any tape around the wire loom. My ZL1 is from the first production run in October of 2016. That's how it came from the factory. They started using plastic insulation over the wire loom with the 2018 models.

The covers on the strut tower bolts are actually bolt covers for a 5th gen Camaro. I pulled them off my 2013 ZL1 before trading it in.

They originally came with the polished finish. I painted them with red hot touch up paint and clear coat. They're stuck to the bolt head with a little silicone RTV adhesive.

And maybe a red or black plastic cap for the ground lug too.
