The guy overdid it, and that's fine with me. Only an idiot who deserves to be removed from the gene pool would break into houses in Texas, where guns are common and a strong Castle Doctrine protects citizens' rights to shoot intruders.

The states with the best gun rights have the least violent crime.

The places where illegal gun trade is popular due to heavy anti-gun laws are full of violence.

It's hard to argue with statistics, except for arguing which is the cause and which is the effect -- but there's no denying that the low crime where guns are more legal proves that guns don't cause crime or remove safety.

I don't think guns are the only issues contributing to the violence- it is more so a combination of conditions in the economy, gun rights, and I will go ahead and say it: the amount of impoverished and desperate people taking chances. I have a feeling that ROBBERY will increase now. Just go in and kill the people before you pick over what you want...At the very least I hope this guy has nightmares.

So, what countries are safer. Great britan has a "no gun" policy and their murder and violent crime rates are much higher than ours nationally.

It is arguable that our right to carry guns does make us a safer country. However it doesn't make us completely safe.
