A hard choice

I saw hylton did something like this not long ago and recanted. I will not.
I am removing myself from the community here. Though I've been here a short time I believe I've contributed to what makes this forum special. The sharing of knowledge and information.
I was given warnings about one or more of my posts in my steering response thread that were deemed not allowable. These posts were directed at and in response to pedders. I'm not going to regurgitate specifics here, but just want to say EVERYTHING I posted was based on FACTS not opinion.
My opinion here is that there are snap judgments being made on actions put down. WITHOUT ALL THE FACTS. And the facts fall on deaf ears. For the most part. There is even a failure to fully read the facts laid out after the action. I will not be integrated with this type of rule. I fought oppression for almost two decades and as unrelated as this may seem to you, it is far to similar to me. But really that is life. We all live it like that in the real world day to day. But it is NOT OK in my life, and I will oppose these types of fallacies until the day I die.
This may seem like a drama, but it's where I'm coming from. Nobody has ever had to guess what was on my mind. Blunt truth.
Thanks to those that make this a great source of information! All of you rock! I'm out.

This is the second "dramatic goodbye" I've seen on this board. What's up with that? When I stopped posting on Thirdgen.org and LS1tech...I just stopped posting.

Sorry to see you go. Just an unfortunate set of circumstances that set the stage for this. I've appreciated your many posts and the exchanges I've had with you. I wish you the best and perhaps if things change you might be able to come back and join us again.

Fare you well

Are you talking about the warning Milk gave you for the language you used in that thread or is it something else, thats the only thing I saw ever given to you from a Mod?

First and foremost, you did not explicitly receive an infraction for what you said about Pedders. You received one for your language. Secondly, the rest of the warning was about arguing on the forum. If you had a bad experience with a vendor, share it with everyone. But if you want to have an argument then please take it to the private messages.

17,890 members. That is how many people we have here that we attempt to "govern," if you will, fairly and equally. Obviously, we can't please everyone. But, with as few people who dislike the rules, I'd say we are doing pretty darn good.

So, with that in mind, we are sorry you don't appreciate the whole attempt at our being fair....to both you AND to Pedders. Normally, messages like these would be taken to PM's. But, since you feel the need to put this out there for all the members to see....I feel the need to let everyone know that it wasn't a mod that banned you and made you leave....as everyone can see, it was your refusal to accept the rules and is what brought you to leave.

Take care.
