Well I saw the Movie, and thought if it makes it into production as a series that won't last, and I stick to my prediction.
The only thing that would save it in my opinion is to bring back the origonal KITT with the HOFF, and team them up. I can imagine some of the conversations between the old and new KITT...

The lead actor started off in bed with two girls he spent the night with... Another girl was in bed with another girl that was under the sheets that she also spent the night with, hence a lesbian.. The second girl was naked as well. This was all in the first five minutes of the show.. Would you allow your kids to watch stuff like that on TV? Did you ever see anything like that in the original Knight Rider?

I'd hardly call that R-rated, under the modern definition of ratings that would more likely qualify as PG-13 (sorry not familiar with the TV ratings over there). But I'd probably do best stopping here, I know there are cultural differences between here (Sweden) and the US. We see much harsher on violence then we do sex, so we have a different outlook on things.

And naturally it's none of my business what you let your kids see on TV.

Size: 260.8 KB But I kind of like it... I am so glad they did not have access to the new Camaro...

As for trying to compare the two shows, remember there is many years between the two.

I do not disagree, the new show is adult oriented; but if you're worrying about what the young ones will see………… they learn much worst from “Little Jonny” at recess… I think they are going after the original NR "all grownup" fans...

KITT's new attack mode is bad....this is worse....

....

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/30/t...nd-kitt-f-150/

Apparently NBC is really trying to drive this show into the ground before it ever gets going.

You know, the original, while a little bit cheesy was a guy with a fast car that had some high tech gizmos. Even then, there was no Super Pusuit mode, Attack Mode, blah, blah, blah. That was when this show was "good". Okay, I'll use that term lightly, but it was then that you could almost see this as plausible. KITT could be armored, he could have a small thruster that would give him super speed or turbo boost. A small grappling hook wasn't impossible. With t-tops, an ejector seat was even doable (Mythbusters did it on one episode). Oil slicks, radar jamming equipment, scanners, etc. Sure it was over the top, not very likely, but possible. The Super Pusuit mode, the turn a t-top into a convertible with one button...that stuff starting getting ridiculous. Now....well, we've had the KITT as a Mustang discussion. The ridiculous Attack Mode (the new one being far more hideous than the first one), now a truck transformation? Sure, the color changing paint and holographs are theorhetically possible, but an F-150?

Too bad, I kind of wanted this to be good. Now, I see less than a season here. It will probably be canceled before Christmas.

One positive thing about the F-150....at least KITT won't need the "off-road" mode that he had in the old KR. And, I guess it would be much more realistic when an Edge keeps up with it all the way along a twisty mountain road.
