First Post + Suggestions

Hey everyone,

I've been reading this forum for around a month now, and let me say I love the community on here. Ya'll are a great resource to have (hopefully I won't need you too much!).

Sadly, I can't make my first post a happy one. Yesterday evening, I picked up my '18 2SS (Pics to come) from Stingray Chevy in Tampa. Fantastic dealership. This morning, while driving my dad to his attorney, two Tampa Bay Lightning cheerleaders drifted into my lane and sideswiped my car, denting and scraping up the front right quarter panel.

Never in my driving history have I been in an accident, or gotten a ticket before. So needless to say my first accident, within 24 hours of picking up my new car, pissed me off. Luckily, the cheerleader who was driving admitted to the cop that she hit me, so hopefully insurance'll take care of everything soon.

I wanted to ask if anyone knew of a respectable body shop in or near Tallahassee (Where I live). I want my car looking brand new, as I didn't even last 80 miles before I was hit. All suggestions welcome.

Hey man, I feel for you, this sucks big time in many ways. Can't help you with body shops as I live in NJ, but hope you'll be taken good care of and you'll enjoy this amazing car you purchased.

Sorry this happened to you dude. The good thing is she admitted fault and the police report should help you when you file a claim with her insurance. I suggest you invest in a dash cam, not everyone would admit fault. There’s good options on Amazon and not too expensive.

True that, definitely consider getting a dash cam, preferably dual so you can have a recording of the rear as well.

If you don't mind the higher cost, I have the Blackvue 750S-2CH, hardwired for parking mode, and it's very good. Their newer 900S model can even do 4K on the front cam. I saw some very positive feedback about Thinkware dash cams as well.

Huh? Please explain further.
You would get out and shoot someone over a traffic accident?

People “lose their shit” over anything these days. Wait until you have some real problems in life.

I was thinking the same thing. Wow, just wow.

OP, try Yelp or perhaps your local Better Business Bureau. Between these and asking friends you should find the right body shop. Sorry that you’re Camaro love affair started off rough but once you get it back from the body shop you’ll enjoy that amazing car!

Even weirder since he lives in Canada according to his profile. Thought Canadians were all about that peace and love hahaha.
