2018 1LE clearance
Anyone know when they will be offering incentives on the 2018 1LE's to start clearing them off the lots for the 2019's? Right now the residual values on the 2018 leases are not that great so the payments are higher. Thinking of waiting for the 2019 to order. The lease payment on a 2019 will be lower since the residuals will be higher. What do you guys think?

Labor Day will be the next big shot for incentives, probably comparable to the big ones for Memorial Day when I got my ‘18 for $38K out the door - especially since the 2019s are going into production in 10 days or so. You might even see Supplier Pricing for everyone.

Here's a used one I just saw last weekend. Dont know mileage, wasnt listed. Tag hanging from mirror stated "$39,899 - RA Special". "RA" meaning Road America, it was the IMSA race weekend. Car was from the Van Horn auto group.

I received all the Incentives available when I ordered my 18 1LE. They said they would Honor the incentives when the car arrived, even if they were not running at the time.
My Sticker was just a hair under 46K. I walked out paying 37,220. I financed 30K. My Credit Score is 845 at any given month. They financed me for Five years at 1.9%. I'm paying less than two thousand bucks for a 30K five year loan. Not Bad at all. |

I still can't believe you can buy a car as good as the 1LE for the price they are selling them.
I love my M3, but damn I miss a manual and a 1LE for 3X,XXX makes me feel like I am stealing something!!! Seriously having trouble not trading into one.

I just got my rod bearings in my M replaced, which I regret now. At the time I thought I would keep it long term, but the desire for a 3rd pedal is too much now. The depreciation actually works in my favor, as I want to buy used. If I play my cards right I can sell my M privately and buy a used 1LE and a beater with little to no additional cash needed out of pocket. It is what I plan to try next spring anyway.

1.) GM cars just plain suck for depreciation 2.) Camaro sales for 2018 have been horrible, something like 25%-30% off normal pace. 3.) The incentives that are great for new buyers, are a nightmare for the used car market values. 4.) Depending on the state you are in, as soon as you drive a new car off the lot, you lose ~$5K in car value depreciation and whatever you paid in Sales Tax right off the top of the value. For a state like CA, $8K depreciation as soon as you sign those papers.
