Howdy from Montana

New to the site but not Camaros. I've had a 68, 71, 78, and an 80 and helped my son buy and build a 1990. I have a 1996 SS Impala as another toy.

It took me a while to decide on a 2018 or 2019 but the nose of the 19 didn't impress me as much as the 18 so I pulled the trigger on a Mosaic black 2018 2SS. Color was a quandary and it came down to black or mosaic. I also wrestled with getting a 6 speed or the automatic. Put about 1,200 miles on it in 2 weeks and am pretty impressed so far. I put an Airaid intake on it this week and am taking a 100 mile trip to see how is does.

Thanks for letting me join the group.
Dave

From Eastern NC I give a huge welcome to the Forum and congratulations on a beautiful 2018 Camaro, jealous! Unlike you this is my very first Camaro but I enjoy it to no end. I have the Ashen Gray convertible.

During my many years as a LEO I mostly enjoyed the 94-96 Caprice 9C1s. I recall I had to be ordered to turn my 96 in during 99. She was getting high on miles but I just didn't want to trade her in for a Ford. I have owned a fair number of the Caprice 9C1 as well as two Impala SS. I still have my first Impala SS. A 1996 that now has 9,232 miles. I also enjoy the heck out of driving the Impala. The Camaro is an automatic and the Impala is a six speed.

Bad ass rides, Deputy! Thanks for the welcome. That Impala is really nice. Mine has the automatic. Hotchkis suspension front and rear. Not near as clean under the hood as yours either. My odometer burned out (tried to do the fix twice) so I have no idea how many miles are on it. I spend most of my money on my Harleys so I haven't done much to it.
My oldest son couldn't find a 9C1 but got a decent 1995 Caprice to play with.

Great Falls isn't the best part of Montana but you can get anywhere in a few hours.
Malmstrom? What did you do?

Thanks StreetRage! I dig yours as well. Are those stock wheels? They look like the 16 and up wheels.

Yeah my car is all stock still. My wife's addiction to Amazon is hampering my modifications budget...

LOL Sweet car though. My Harley habit takes all my money but I did put an Airaid cold air intake on this week.

Dave, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
