Sounds like a little dealer markup there. I have seen Camaro SSs advertised for that locally, and V6s for over 35k, that is mark-up, the draw for the Challenger is the big musclecar feel, the smooth ride, things that are not available on the Camaro (A Base SRT8 is basically as or more loaded than a loaded SS). Different strokes for different folks.

Yes Chrysler is buying my vehicle back because of this. I am not trying for them to buy it back they already agreed to buy it back.
Thought that was actually you.

The SRT8 Challenger can be had nicely optioned for $43K, which already includes GG tax and Destination charges. Options and $$ go up from there with NAV, etc... Research is your friend.

What?? If you're the same guy that was going to get rid of your SRT8 Challenger under the lemon law, I distinctly remember you said it needed some body work done. Like the door was creased or something to that effect. You're the one that called ASSA a fat (female canine) right?

No I am not that person. I have never even been on the Challenger forum. I treated my Challenger great, and I didn't have to order it. I got lucky and just walked in and got one! But, all these problems have really taken the fun out of the car. :(

I have a new 2010 challenger and I love it. Drove my cousin's camaro and I love that thing too. It's all a matter of opinion, and in mine, I feel that I prefer the look and drive of my challenger. You guys obviously can think otherwise but that's how I see it

The Shelby GT500 is an awesome ride but I feel like its gunna be a thing of the past once the Z28 get released!
....Ah hem.....(GM dont make us chevy guys look like fools bring that F***er out!!)

The supersnake is a pretty sweet set up though! wouldnt mind having one of those if the price was right ...

Challenger looks really sweet on the outside but the interior could of been a lot better, looks just like the Chrysler 300 and Charger IMO. Looks great though, kudos to Dodge!

How would you compare the two in how they drive?

Hm, the Challenger definatly looks amazing on the outside, its got a lot of neat luxury features on the inside (kinda ironic cause in the old muscle car days people hated luxury options cause they slowed them down, lol) I wish the Challenger had a more unique interior, i dont like how it looks the same as everything else Chrysler. They really need to drop the 6.1L down to R/T so that it competes with the SS and GT on a performance level, right now they're way too far up their own asses, they think "so what if my car's under-powered, its a Hemi so its obviously faster" Put the 392 Hemi in the SRT, drop the 6.1L down to the R/T and shave a couple hundred pounds, we'll finally have our "challenger" haha

Personally though i have thought about what it would be like to buy an R/T Challenger and drop a 392 crate Hemi in it, but even then the Challenger is a little too "luxury" oriented for me, i dont get why all muscle cars (Camaro and Mustang included) are so up tight about luxury options these days, giant comfy seats, heated leather, navigation, engine block heaters, remote start, 18 speaker sound systems...cant we just have our performance cars without all the BS frills?

I agree with everything you said. There should be a stripper version of these cars, but you can't always get what you want!

LMAO at this!!!

That describes them to a T. They constantly say the magazines are so biased against Dodge, and that the Camaro is really slower than the mags say and that the Challenger is really faster. Yet when you show them video of bone-stock Camaros running 12.9s and even a 12.87 (in the middle of the summer heat mind you), they just keep making excuses.

Of course they all swear the SRT is really a 12-second car, but because of the magazines conspiracy against Dodge, they won't print it. So when you ask them for video of bone-stock SRTs running 12s, they just make more excuses.

Its true that some Challenger owners are thin skinned....so are some Mustang owners and some Camaro owners....even some Cobalt owners.

I ran across a thin skinned Toyota Prius owner the other day while gassing up.

He gave me the finger.

i will agree with ya on the fact that some guys think mags are out to get mopar. completely rediculous if you ask me! i think its due to the fact that people are achieving better times than what the mags are posting in the real world. not everyone, but the better drivers. so of course us challenger guys will take offense to that because their rating us last place.

i'm sure people in the real world are posting better times with their SS than the magazine as well, but its not being brought up as conspiracy because the mags are still sayin the SS is the top dog, which it rightfully is at this time(aside from the GT500, but i'm talking in its class). same goes for the mustang, better drivers will post better times than the mags...not sayin your wrong 1bad65, just look at it from a challenger owner's perspective. almost every mag puttin us down, posting horrid 1/4mi and 0-60 times when in turn a lot of guys that know what they are doing are besting the mag times with both the R/T and SRT. i'm not sayin its faster than the SS by any means, so please, nobody take this as a trouble starting post. is more them vs. the mags i guess you could say.

we all know some take it to that other level where they can get out of hand with why "the mags are out to get us mopar guys" just as you said.

and after thinking about it, i dont have video to post to back up my post, so i guess im gonna be lumped into "one of those conspiracy guys"
