Considering how the standard 18 GT pulls hard up top this should pull even better.

If you add too much power and it overwhelms the tires and the chassis, then it kills the thrill of being able to push the car completely. I would rather ring out a 400HP car than have to baby a 700HP car. As I do not have my 1LE yet , I can't speak to how close to the limit the power is to the chassis. But maybe that is GM's thinking? One of my favorite cars was my old E90 M3 V8. It had a high redline, not a lot of low down torque, but you could beat on it all day and it just took it and said , can I have some more. Everything from the grip, brakes, cooling, handling, etc. It was a fun car. Fast forward to my F80 M3, and it was the total opposite experience. It had too much power and TQ for the chassis to handle and it was not a fun car to drive fast and stepped all over itself in traction, stability, brakes, etc. |

If you want a track car, 1LE. If you see no track, bite the Bullitt. Especially if resale value is your primary concern.

I LOVE my e92, I will never get rid of it. To me it is the last great M car BMW made. They lost their ability to make the cars like they used to, lost that balance that they were SO good at. You could argue at one point they were at the top of the heap in that regard, even better than Porsche......but BMW is not what it once was and has lost their way.

That is something I would sell my M3 for.

I had a C6 Z06 at one time and that motor was pretty awesome. Although mine had the exhaust valve guide issues and ended up being bought back on the lemon law, but the motor was awesome when built correctly. As for BMW, you are absolutely correct. I have never felt I over paid for a car as much as I did about my F80 M3. I do hear great things about the M2, but I have never driven one, and its price is right up there with the M3/4 with a lesser interior.

Sorry to hear you were so unhappy with the F80, glad you have moved on to greener pastures though hahahaha.

HAHAHAHA, I love his enthusiasm. I think he has an ecoboost now, he is going to love that V8 and that awesome exhaust note.
Good for him.
