True...but this is the second violation of the same patent, so I read in another article. The first time they got a slap on the hand....hopefully, they'll be plenty more forceful this time around.

It sounded to me like the lawyers for this firm weren't all that sharp. Sounds like the specified vehicles instead of drivetrains.

I think you have to specify a product. A drive train isn't a product.

When the press says the Prius "could" be banned, it's like when they say a perp "could" get 20 years, but in the end all he gets is community service or something. It's 99% likely that the plaintiff gets a ton of money and probably royalties from future Prius sales. Same thing happened when Research in Motion (makes Blackberries) lost some patent suit; there was no way Blackberries were going to get banned...

If I'm not mistaken, Toyota designs their batteries for LOW COST and not recyclability Thus, prius batteries will be hard to dispose of...and may end up in landfills.

Chevy made theirs to be recycled, and has vendors ready to do so. Just what I heard at a chevy meeting.
