stock ss axles with 3.91 gears??

Anyone with a ss l99 auto, run the 3.91 gear setup with stock ss axles???? I understand the 1le with the 3.91 gears has the upgraded axles, but in a auto would it be worse or better on the 3.91 gears and could I get by without if I don't go more hp at the moment?? I don't race but do get on it from time to time!!! any input would be great thanks!!!!!

stock ss axles with 3.91 gears??

I’m running stock axles still with the 3.91 gears, Multi 3600-3700 stall with fbo, e85, Carbon fiber one piece driveshaft, poly engine mounts, poly diff bushing, and more suspension upgrades and the axles are holding up very nicely. Just have trouble getting the power down to get traction haha. You should be fine unless you are making a lot more hp and torque to the wheels. I might upgrade the axles later down the line just because haha. So, to answer your question yes you are fine running the 3.91 gears on your l99 with stock axles.

This is sounding good Im respectfully running about 50 more hp than stock and all the suspension has been replaced with bmr and running 305 tires in the rear. Stock stall converter and upgraded to fe4 sway setup in the rear, so should be slightly more hp than the 1le but that car comes with heavier axles right??? Chevy just being careful??is the load transfer on a manual drive setup much harder than an auto setup?
