nature doesn't want me switching to my summer wheels/tires. the forecast looked awesome last week and now it's back to being cold for the next week and more

i just want traction. is that so much to ask?

Scheduled an appointment Friday to view a house I wanted to buy today at 1pm. The house sold at 11am this morning.

Yep. It's fine. I'll just live with my parents forever. More money for more car parts.

I remember those days.

Hang in there. Something better will come along.

Also, while I recognize that renting makes sense for a lot of people, I personally think it is a waste of money and want something to build equity in. (Plus a lot of apartments don't have garages)

thats why i'm also still at home. i dont feel right tossing money away each month on something i will never call my own

and no garages! well, some in my area have separate, or even attached garages. then you're really looking at a mortgage payment each month for an apartment with an attached garage

Same. A decent single bedroom apartment is 900-1200 dollars/month. All parking is detached single car garage. A house for rent goes anywhere from 1200 and up. I'd much rather buy a house and have a mortgage that's about the same as what rent would be. It's a no brainier for me.

My mortgage with insurance and taxes actually ended up being cheaper than a 1 bedroom apartment here. Go figure.
