What’s leg waxing on the pain scale?

I remember a few years ago when there was this thing you could by on TV, and apparently it had like super “fine crystals” on it and all you had to rub it on your leg to shave. Except when you were done it stung like razor burn and left your leg looking all blotchy. It was a lot easier just to shave.
