That's from a different concept where the G8 was outfitted as a police car. They're just showing what they can do to the center stack in the Caprice.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile, or what?

...this needs to be inscribed in the dash of a retired one post auction. Fen.. you know what you must do. (or I'll do it if you don't.. )

Do it to yours. I have plans for mine.

I wonder if they'll let me keep the front brush guard...

You can probably buy one. If I recall there isn't a law against brush guards on ex-pursuit vehicles. Just lights and the like equipment. At least for Michigan and Ohio.

Also in Michigan I don't think they let you keep retired SHP cars painted in that aqua blue color.. Or the light Fez..

I wonder if they will sell a civilian version at dealerships as well?

And sell like the Crown Vic? Yeah.. I doubt that. They'll make more than enough on police sales since the reputation of being a cop car as the 9C1 is still alive and well. It's like the Camaro of the Cop car world. Where as the Crown Vic is the 'stang.. they're everywhere.

Besides, if anyone wanted one for cheap, they could go to a police auction, get one, and renovate it into a LHD Holden Statesman (which I plan to do).

The Vin says Chevy.. but the car screams Aussie.

I'm not keeping my hopes up. Looking at the fact that the civvie Crown Vic is failing hard.. unless they go ahead and do a Commodore/G8 thing they won't sell like the Charger.

That's just because the Crown Vic is ancient. Statesman/Caprice is a relatively fresh design...at least to the majority of Americans.

New Impala? Who knows.

Lutz is pushing for more Zeta in the US...

Well, you may have a point, as it would end up their full size sedan by default.. and not something rehashed from Cadillac or Buick. Problem is that some may be irked because at first glance it really does look like a Caprice. And I'm sure not very many people are ZOMGGOTTAHAVEIT about a Caprice as they are the Taurus. That overhang butt..kinda kills that profile view.

As for Zeta-Bob..

We all know how that argument turned out.. I'm just waiting for a Board Room coup and they toss Fritzy's arse on the street outside of Rencen. (oddly as I edit this part "No Time" by The Guess Who pops on.. )

HAIL MAXIMUS BOBICUS!
