AFM in all cylinders? I'll pass on that, have zero interest in anything with AFM. I'll be getting a 2500HD 6.0L in the Spring. Good old LS motor, non AFM, Key Start, 6spd auto..... For a pickup truck, I want rock solid reliability. I'll give up a few mpgs to run on all 8 cylinders, and not have so many trans speeds the thing is in a constant state of gear selection confusion. Just my opinion.

I'm still not a fan of the body flaring, especially at the front fenders. The higher range models have decent trim and appearance features. Overall the previous design was better coordinated and, IMO, more attractive.
I am hoping that the Sierra will have a better chance with working with the new body. Sometimes you will have off years in terms of design, which is unfortunate.

They all do it. The best deal I ever got on a modern performance car was my 2010 GT500. Bought well below MSRP. You just have to wait for that dealer nonsense to subside once they start sitting after all the dumb idiots were weeded out paying ADMs. Can you really blame dealers for making a large profit when there are dumbasses out there willing to blow large sums of money just to be the first?

I was just surprised they didn't mark up the Centennial edition Silverado and actually had 7k off MSRP.
E-Assist is one reason I chose to go last model year 2018 and stick with the 5.3 that's been proven for years. I really like the 2019, but I'll let others figure out the details. I already get too much that with 1st year Camaro stuff... no need to push it with two cars. |

eAssist is already an option on the 5.3L on the current truck. Just isn't available outside of certain areas.

The good thing about Ford's aluminum bed construction is that they can't possibly get the rear wheel well rust/rot that's for some reason plagued every truck since the beginning of time.

Aluminium does corrode and the other issue I can see happening is dissimilar metal contact corrosion. I experience this in my own field if dissimilar metal connections arent handled correctly. I know Tesla has had some issues with that.
