I would have said the same thing without the expletives. You were completely right to point out that the profits go to Japan. I would have pointed out to him that having a car that is fun to drive and a car that is environmentally responsible is not a mutually exclusive issue. The idiot driving his Toyota probably operates under the assumption that a fast car and a clean car are 2 different things. Also, it is not irresponsible to buy a nice car. People who are doing well enough to afford it should be allowed to have it, regardless of what it is.

well everybody has there own opinion. sorry but if america would make a car that can last long then there would be more on the streets.

have a few friends and my self have had nothing but problems with american. they were also new cars and still had problems, i jumped into a toyota and nothing.

other than that some people need to put in there place, lile alot of these young honda owners. many people think that a v8 is a gas hog cause of the past v8s. also i would take a 300hp toyota up against a 400hp american cause of weight diff.

ok not trying to hate the camaro is kick ass

I wonder why it is that there are so many old Cavaliers, DeVilles, Silverados, Blazers, and other GMs on the road. If you go outside and count all the cars. Half of them are built in the US. Among only three manufacturers, that isn't bad.

I had someone talk smack to me cause I will have two vehicles when the camaro gets here, calling me selfish... Just another example of jealously. If you have the means to own what you want, then F the people who covet your posessions. For a lot of us our vehicles are part of ourselves, for me anyway. It's a defining expression of our own personality, if people want to drive a cookiecutter rice burner that's their business, but it doesn't give them the right to yell down from an imaginary high horse.

I think you were totally in line. I think it would have been awesome if you had stopped pumping and left before him doing a nice big american burnout in your nice big american sports car with it's 24mpg v8 right up in his toyota lovin face.

I was HOT....Was I out of line? And before anyone asks I am not an employee of the big 3 I am actualy a police officer so I have no actual ties to the big three at all. This is just the way I feel.....Am I just one of the few left that feels this way????

Hey shevyman.....I too have had problems...I even lemon lawed a GMC Z71 that I purchased in the past, but I don't think anyone can say they have had no problems at all with a car. My parents went out and bought a Nissan. Guess what....just lemon lawed that pile of garbage.
I have had several cars with well over 200,000 miles on them with no big issues (all American of course)& I have been driving Crown Vics and Chevys for 21 years now and they hold up to constant police abuse pretty darn well. You can't honestly say that any Toyota,Honda or otherwise would handle the abuse of police work like American steel. I guess I am just old school and believe in doing my part by purchasing American. But then again I do live in the Motor City!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I have never had major problems with any of the GM vehicles we have owned.... maybe you just have bad luck
