I smell a possible vector for some fundage transfer here.
Aren't staying at the host hotel and want to reserve parking space(s)? Pay! Host hotel customers automatically get a reserved parking slot. |

Lawl H-Town was the biggest culprit they literally coned a 1/3 off the parking lot. A little more party organization this year could help this issue we can only wait and see.

We're all Camaros - and I'd like to think we all respect each other's vehicles enough to not door ding, steal, etc...so parking up front isn't "necessary"...I know I parked in the back 40 one night because there were no spots. Aw well...I wanted to dri - er...sleep. ![]() What do you guys thinks makes the most sense? A) No Cones. B) 1hr limit on cone-age C) pre-established club cones D) Other?? |

I agree and I always warn my H-Town crew that I probably won't get to hang out with them much at fest since there are so many I only get to see each year. I see them every weekend here. They are also a big help with front gate, meet and greet and putting out fires when needed.

Is there a thread yet with all the goings on in 1 place? As a newbie, don't have a clue on events, meetings, parties, races, fun runs, on and on.
Gets a little overwhelming trying to decipher 40 discussions..... Thanks for the help... PS: I know...... Bring, car, money,booze....

Think the cone issue needs to be addressed, even saving spaces with chairs. I get it if someone had to leave real quick and wanted to place a cone down that is fine. I arrived around noon this past fest and half of the lot was literally filled with cones saving spaces, wtf???
Guess we’ll see what happens with this, because it’s not right for the folks staying at the host hotel only to park across the street. Saw some people in other cars move cones because there was no where to park.

Maybe it's good and maybe it's bad I mentioned the cone thing. I think that we need to look at this from a few different views, Last year with the Texas crew I understood that they were all at the road track and traveling together. I understood that Becky and her crew had spots saved for the people that are making this event happen. OK we were chair people last year but we were on the end by the street and had a group of verts all in a row. I can leave my cones at home but it would be nice if I can put them out for a beer run. Thumper II lights up at night so I want a host parking lot spot and that's all I am going to say about that.

I like the idea of no cones I almost gave up on the parking lot.... it is out of hand with people blocking spots and then getting mad about people moving cones. Two camaro fest ago I stayed at the host and we could not find a spot to park and there were arguments when one of my friends moved a cone. That is out of line it should be first come first serve. It's great your car has lights and that's you thing get there early and you can have a great spot to show it off I know I like to see them but don't save spots.
