Call me a jerk but if your cat comes into my yard and my dog makes it disapear it's not my problem. It's my yard.
You're not a jerk. If said cat is in your front yard though, there is usually an easement and you could find yourself and your dog in a whole lot of trouble. I'm guessing you're talking about a back yard scenario though.

Not really a fan of cats at all ,but I could never do some of things that I've seen posted on here. I'll never understand this site at all. I get a warning for saying Shi* and ass ,and this is allowed to continue for five pages. If you want to do anything punch your wife in the head for not keeping the cat away from your car. Or, maybe it's your fault for not keeping the cat away from your car.

No this cat was born feral and grew up feral in the MASSIVE feral cat pack in that neighborhood. It was nobody's pet and had been taken to the pound adopted out and returned to our area several times. The county and city refused to put it down as nobody had "proof" of any of the "bad behavior" this cat demonstrated.

For some people cats are as low as rats, as they are like rodents.

But other places a 2-3 friendly neighborhood cats/pets that strolls around, don't dig up flower, and don't breed like rabbits in the alley, are a pleasure.
This is how I feel. There were several very sweet cats that nobody claimed as pets but would hang around. They were nice and loved to play most just stayed away in the woods.

I'm ok with the joking.
Read the last part of my story I do not condone being mean to, torturing, killing, etc pets or even strays. But when you have a violent, vicious, terrorizing animal it is a different story.

Maybe I was not entirely clear about this cat. It would attack people adults and children. It would attack pets (nearly killed my friends puppy). It killed all of the fish out of a neighbors Koi pond but didn't eat a single one. It would shred gardens and flowers. It would knock over trash cans and strew the garbage for yards. It was a PEST in every sense of the word. It was not a pet everybody hated it. We had tried to get the county and city to take care of it both refused. We did not intend to kill it but I am not at all sorry it died. I am not an evil person nor am I a serial killer in the making. I do not torture animals. That cat is the only living thing I have killed that I didn't eat (i.e. hunting).

OP's wife's cat scratched his car......get it declawed if you can't/don't/won't want to deal with it, give the cat away (sell it, give it to a friend, give it to a shelter) but DO NOT KILL OR HARM IT IN ANYWAY.

I apologize to all those that took offense to what I posted.

*stepping off soapbox thread jack over*

Take the cat for a long, long, long ride or...

If you live in California, let it out at night and it will become coyote food.

What's wrong with taking him to the shelter, where someone who appreciates him can have a chance at adopting him?

I have 5 cats outside. I stopped on the way home from the dealership & bought a universal car cover until I could get a custom one. Works like a dream!
