I would expect a 10-15 hp/lb ft bump for the 2016 or 2017 model year to compete with the LT1 powered Camaro.

If they are going to have any bump in 2016 or even 2017, it is already decided. Takes a long time to get all that worked out in an emissions compliant reliable and durable package.

Ford was driving LT1 powered Corvettes before we were.

Anyone care to answer? Sorry, you're too slow (no pun)...

BEHOLD THE REASON! (Thanks for the pic, Hylton!)
That Lincoln SHOULD have been the new Mustang IMO!

I didn't really expect the '15 to be faster than the outgoing one. After all, it's the same powerplant with an added IRS. I expected that the GTPP would basically be the same thing as a BOSS, and that's what the general consensus appears to be. You'll note most of the reviewers talking about how much more fun it is to drive than previous 5.0 Stangs.

Of course, the 5.2 flat plane crank is what I'm saving my money for.

Lol.. Well you might need to take a better look at the ZL1 and GM didn't come out with a refresh til 4 years later! Plus GM started changing and upgrading everything on the Camaro in 2012. So GM didn't waste any time and GM was leading in sales since the Gen came out!

I understand that and that's part of the issue with GM being so predictable when it comes to power train.

If GM wanted to shock Ford, they should make the SS LT1 put out 480+ hp.

The 112mph pass is impressive IMO. While its .1 slower, an IRS is expected to be trickier to launch so thats not a fail to me. But all this BS gives an idea about the car but all tests are on different year, track driver etc. Cant be taken as the absolute truth.

Here are my note about the 15' Stang;
-Its 180lbs heavier fully loaded. Expect a base model to weight 100lbs less and be faster.
-It wont likely be faster than a Boss(best mustang ever IMO) and a 1LE (expected) on a race track
-I think they wait for the 16' Camaro to release to bump up the hp
-The 5.0 got better with better parts. I expect its gonna run like a mofo with boltons
-Better car? Yes. Better look?..not sure.. Still dont know how Ford crowd is gonna react.
-That 5.2l engine is gonna be fukin monster. If the price is right (read better than the z28) Im in.
-Ford needed to get rid of that SRA. More weight was the only expectation to this.
-Lot of lies were told about the weight.

Dear GM, are you LISTENING!!! We need a real engine!!! LT1 isnt enough LOLL Better lose weight on the next Camaro!! Dont need the fancy carbon brakes..just the engine!!

The Challenger scat pack RT is gonna be a hell of a package for the price! Too bad the tuning and aftermarket suck for it. Too heavy too. It will be the fastest pony car for the money for 2015' . Too bad its too damn heavy.

I expect the weight to be around 3700 lbs, if not less. Horsepower will more than likely be 450 without the dual mode exhaust.

Ford better have something amazing in store for the GT350 and at a reasonable price. Sadly, after these reviews and all the false GT hype I'm less than optimistic. Get your 13-14 Mustang deals while you can!
