If they can shut down facebook.. they should also take down twitter too! I hate both of them!

Well to those that dismiss Facebook so much i understand your not caring but for some of us "myself" it is the primary means of communicating with my daughter while i am deployed. My work schedule and her school schedule dont line up so phone calls arent as easy as just pick up a phone. Email only works so much when my ex-wife doesnt check them but she is on Facebook all the time so i rely on it to keep informed as to how my daughter is doing. Not to mention you all would be in a total rage if they were threatening to shut down Camaro5. Just saying.

I agree with your situation and Facebook is good for that. It's just the 99.9% of the other "reasons" people use it.

And I'll be frank, if this site was gone tomorrow, I'd shrug my shoulders and carry on.

If they really were trying to stand up for the common person they would hit the banks not Facebook where the common person has fun.

I agree,if they wanted to hurt/affect more people, yes the bank would be it. The country centers around the banking industry. If Facebook/twitter/Camaro5 whatever shut down, the county could... everyone sit down for this... could still function normally. Without banks... not so much!

Zuckerberg has openly invited hackers to try and "hack" facebook. I firmly believe that facebook is probably just as secure as the most hardened US government websites and servers, if not moreso.

I imagine any attempt that Anonymous makes to "take down" facebook will be in vain.
