Cavalier has been dead for ~8 years... I'm not understanding your last couple of sentences.

So was the Camaro and look at it now, just because a car went extinct doesn't mean a new car can't evolve from the same general idea.

There is a huge difference though. While the Saturn had a the half rear opening clamshell door, the Veloster's is a fullsize, forward opening normal door.

Well, it is supposed to be like a 3 door coupe thing, also only having the extra dorr on one side saved weight.

Yes Hyundai lets just go changing what a Coupé is. For the record a Coupé is "a car with a fixed roof and TWO doors. I'm sure we all knew that though. You can't just go around redefining what a type of car is just because you feel like it add 4 doors to a Camaro and it's not suddenly still a pony car it's a damn sedan.

Shoot, Mercedes, VW have used the 4 door coupe tagline for years, yes i agree it's bull lol. Heck, BMW is even coming out with a 4 door 6 series, i believe they are calling the gran Coupe! lol Anywho, i agree, not a coupe, maybe the first 4 door hatchback?

Say what you will about the Kia's and Hyundai's. But for the money you get more amenities and at least a decent looking small car.

<LI class="quote quote-pos">"The Veloster is impressively quiet for the class. Some road noise and a little wind noise enters the cabin." -- Consumer Guide<LI class="quote quote-pos">"Overall, materials and switchgear are class appropriate or better and fit-and-finish is excellent." -- Autoblog<LI class="quote quote-pos">"In fact, the whole interior shames cars that cost thousands - if not tens of thousands - more. Volkswagen and Nissan could learn a lot from the Koreans about the proper application of hard plastics." -- Jalopnik
