GM has plants all over the world, I don't see the difference. It's just another example of other countries looking out for themselves while America makes everyone else happy and gets weaker because of it. We should tax Japanese imports as much as they tax ours. A prius would start out around 50K. We should also tax there manufacturing plants more and give the tax breaks to American car companies.

I still like my idea for how to implement C4C programs:

domestic built, domestic company = 100% of the incentive amount
foreign built, foreign company = 0% of incentive
all others = 50%

The hubbub is really over 1 brand; Buick

Its Japan that kept Buick off the chopping block.
The golf/old fart market here alone isn't enough.

You are thinking of China. GM sold ~69,000 Buicks in China last year. GM's total Japan sales was something like 2000.

we have free trade they don't...i'm for free trade but in my opinion fair trade is appropriate in some situations...if you guys want to screw with our guys and charge our guys fees your going to get the same equal treatment
