Yeah, but at one point 3/4 of the way through, they did orbital bombardment. Then sent the ground troops in.

I didn't watch any of the subsequent movies...didn't hear much about them, except they generally weren't very good.

I'm talking about the book this was all based off of.

heheh no problem, might have to give the books a read then. That was the question I was asking when I first watched that movie "Why are you sending infantry to fight these nasty bugs that tear them apart? Just nuke-pie the place!"
