It's a performance based vehicle it's supposed to have a firm ride. You want soft and sloppy you aren't looking for performance. You dont know rough till you have solid end links and lowered.

I hope we all know that the Boss was the first track oriented pony car that started this whole muscle cars can be track cars too movement in recent years. Some one said that ford is following gm's track movement? The boss was first shown to the public in 2010 before the zl1 was even completed and years before the z/28 was even conceived. I owned a 13' boss Laguna Seca and was very impressed with it. Felt nibble and light compared to my Zl1 and wouldn't call it an uncomfortable car in any regard.

I think you'll find that even "casual" car people instantly recognize and appreciate the Boss 302s. It was a really big deal when the Boss returned in 2011 for public sale and made a lot of news too. In fact I remember in 2010 when it was announced the Boss was returning the storm of people going to dealerships to get one. The 1LE is important to a very niche group of people, most do not want the downsides that go with it. I know you're really proud of what Chevy has done with the 1LE, ZL1 and Z/28, you should be, I am too. However, the trend of modern, track focused pony cars (if you can even still call these "pony cars") was restarted by Ford in 2010 and Chevy followed suit after they saw the Boss was a hit. In one way or another, Chevy has always played catch up with the Mustang, and always will. The Z/28 was a response to the GT350, the Boss a response to the Z/28. BTW, the ZL1 was an answer to the GT500, not the Boss. The 1LE was the answer to the Boss. The Z/28 was an exception answer to Boss LS, but utterly impractical due to SEVERE tire wear issues and cost of replacement. |

I have seen alot of mustang ppl come over because they traded for a 1LE! The Boss of course was big because of it's name but it didn't have ppl going straight for it or trading in for it like the 1LE! But no doubt the boss was nice!

I think you grossly overestimate the popularity of the 1LE over the Boss. People were beating down the doors for the Boss cars when they were available, and they still command very high value in resale. Plain and simple, the 1LE is not as popular with the general car buying public as the Boss. |

What downside? And ppl are actually going and getting the 1LE's faster than any ! |
