The Performance Package is an add on to the GT just like the 1LE is to the SS. The 1LE is not a stand alone model like the BOSS.
After the success of the 1LE, I don't understand how Ford can drop the ball on the PP like they did. Not enough tire, brake or spring/dampening. |

There should be articles and videos comparing to the 1LE. I believe it will be closer than the last GT track pack but I think the edge goes to the 1LE for the reasons Bhobbs posted above. I see in the specs that the rear brakes are single piston caliper? I wonder why they decided on that? 1LE is only around 55 pounds heavier and had no problems handling a Boss with a 250lb curb weight and 18HP advantage. They definitely don't have an answer for the Z/28 right now and when the GT350 is released I hope there are still Z/28 comparisons though it should be out of production by the GT350's release.

Mustang GT PP w/ Recaros = $37,015 This is as basic a car as you can get in a new GT with the current go fast goodies
http://bp3.ford.com/2015-Ford-Mustan...AA.GT.LESS.%5D VS Checking same options for 2015 Camaro 1SS 1LE with Recaros = $39,995.00 http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-spor...VTU1BUlkifQ==@ I like you am awaiting a true match up between these two models. I am in no way saying the Mustang will beat a 1LE, just pointing out that the Mustang is still less expensive than an equivalent Camaro, option for option or package for package.

When will we get a look at the 6th Gen Camaro, when will it be available to the public? This time next year?
Ecoboost is the car to have, I'll take one now and decide on my V8 of choice when the GT gets DI and the next Camaro is out. |

Yes, and the Boss lost! Supposedly Ford targeted the Boss as the benchmark for the GT. So far it appears they missed, at least in straight line testing. It remains to be seen if it will best the Boss, and/or the 1LE. I hold no illusions of grandeur!

I think 1/10th of a second and a higher trap speed is on target, but that's just me!
Read just about every EB and GT review, the car sounds like a different beast and the car appears to build confidence turn by turn. In my mind this will equate to higher limits at the track and overall better lap times. |

If the Boss couldn't beat the 1LE, why would they benchmark the new car to it.

The new Mustang will be fine...it has been for 50 years. It will get better, it already has and always does. I am sure we will see several 12.6 runs stock. It is now an "all-around" car..term so often used on this site. I think its on point, and sets the stage for spectacular SVT editions.

We gotta see what the PP GT vs the 1LE can do when they are pitted against eachother on a roadcourse, until then these reviews are just first observations.
