Basically when I don't eat fast food the weight literally falls off of me.

So if you any of you guys own stock in McDonald's, now is the time to sell, any time I diet that stock loses a few points.
That's crazy.

Don't let ruby's frustration fool you in thinking she doesn't know what to do. She has become very knowledgeable in this area and I'm quite sure her pantry reflects that. The thing is, and this is where I disagree with your previous statement is that she gives it good effort but lacks in total commitment. Having someone push and motivate you is good but you cannot depend on others to do this, until you are totally committed on your own there will always be reasons not to do it. Better known as EXCUSES.

Sorry Ruby but you know I'm right. Lol

In my opinion we need to break her down both mentally and physically and essentially build her back up a new person. Sometimes you just need a new outlook to achieve your goals.

I saw this thread before but I never get into reading it...

Background: 42 year old, 5'9" very into exercise when younger, after seeing myself in 182 lbs, 4 months ago decide to get back in shape...
First goal : loose weight, feel and look good

My workout:
Monday : chest
Tuesday : biceps & triceps
Wednesday : back
Thursday : shoulders
Friday : legs
Saturday : small cardio
Sunday: rest
I go for 45 minutes max, and combine 2 exercise back to back (super sets) with 10 seconds rest in between and 30 second between each set...
Eating: like everyone else is the hard part, I tried to eat healthy... I do breakfast, skip lunch and do dinner, do 1 protein shake with dinner...

So far I gain more weight, I'm on 194 lbs, this doesn't bother me since I look better but there's one area... yeah! Stomach, not looking for a six pack but a least flat...
Complications: right shoulder pain (slowly getting better), elbow pain and right wrist pain... (hopefully they all go away)

So what's your advice? Going in the right path? Here's 2 photos how I look now...

Diet is very important so you need to get that straightened out. Skipping meals is not acceptable. If you could post your typical eating habits (food choices and timing) it will help.

On the exercises I would add more whole body exercises such as squats deads benches, These are best both for strength gains and fat loss. How about listing the lifts you use.

Some don't like posting pictures although I'm not one. I have a few here and there and typically do one on my birthday which will be next month. No one has seen my before photo's as I try not to think about them but I may post one in a few just for shits and giggles.
