They are built by Ford Racing and are not and can not be made to be street legal. No street legal factory stock Mustang will ever touch a 302S or 302R at the track.

In a word? Yeah. The R is Grand-Am Continental Challenge Series spec/approved.
FRPP has been building 50 S's a year at $89,995 http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=11687 And R's at $134,995 http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=13517 They play the other side of the coin to the FR500CJ's as far as racing venues go.

What really happened was the S550 engineers came in and took all the good tables in the cafeteria, so the S engineers lapped them a couple of times and made them sit back with the accountants.
