Ahh well i have given up on learning about the LLT tuning. There is very little we can do even for just bolt ons. So when i get my headers I'm just looking for a safe AFR and not so much the power since i want this car to last for a very long time.

that's why no tune for jewel. only reason to get a tune is for the firmer shifts and to turn off the CEL, so we can autostart again. lol don't want to touch anything else with the car, with the tune.

Yea and just looked it up a Gasoline burning Internal Combustion engine is Running balanced (Stoichiometric for the scientists) at 14.7:1. Anything bellow is running rich and anything higher is running lean

I stand corrected. I believe you want to be in the 11's when boosted/nitrous. 12's are ok with bolt ons.

True. But you really don't want to go way past that number. I have seen people say they are fine with a 9.5:1 at WOT which is definitely something I'm not comfortable with. At WOT i would be comfortable with mid to high 12s

those people are nuts. vince has told me that I want to be around 11.5 with nitrous. some quick c5 searching, and most seem to think 12.7ish is good for NA

Yea I want to do a AFR gauge but there are few things I'm worried about. I know that I can't install it since i would need it welded onto my headers so I could always just take the headers when I get them to a shop and have it welded first. So really my concerns is how would I wire it to the pillar pod without taking apart the whole dash board and second I feel the pillar pod can have some negative side effects on the side curtain airbag if something where to ever happen

Edit: I can't really tell to well but it looks like KJ might be in the high 11s on the final dip of the AFR line. Which in my opinion is a little rich for bolt ons

this is the reason we are not installing it there. still don't know where we want it.

Yea. I am not a fan of the steering wheel mounted one and I don't want to get rid of my gauges in the center console So i have almost no options left that I know of. I'm open to any other ideas though except mounting it on the cowl
