Personally I don't think the gun debate is worth having. I think it's more about a very troubled person. Maybe as a society we need to be more able to see the warning signs and look for ways to get a person like that help before something tragic happens. And crank school security up even more, unfortunately.

I really wish that these psychopaths would just end their miserable life themselves rather than taking others with them! I just don't get why this 20 year old would want to go shoot up kids at an Elementary School. Absolutely disgusting!

Im still trying to figure out how someone could be so f-ed up in the head to go into a school and shoot little kids. This world is jacked up. Maybe the end of the world is really happening on the 21st.

Now we are finding out that the shooters mother is one of the teachers that was killed. This is such a horrendous tragedy, it's hard not to just cry for our loss of humanity when things like this happen.

I just saw a report that stated the shooters mother was a kindergarten teacher at the school and that her class was the one where most of the shooting took place. It also mentioned his father was found dead at their house.

I can't wait to get home and smother my 2 little boys with hugs and kisses.

I for the life of me can not understand why some one would do some thing like this. My heart goes out to all the parents of the children that had their short lifes taken away by such a cowardly act!! I would never want a troubled person to take their own life but if it would have saved all these children then I would have been glad if they would have.

My heart goes out to the people, families and loved ones in Conneticut. It just makes you think of a couple scenarios: What if the principal had a defense gun? Would there be a lot less dead? If Obama took away ALL of our guns, out of honest gun carrying citizens: would we be more safe? Would criminals still find/buy/steal guns??

Another scenario: if you really think about it...the world is coming to an end in less than a week. People are taking it upon themselves to attempt to be a martyr for everyone in their way of thinking.

Does these actions excuse their behavior? I find it reprehensible! Only they will be the ones who will be Judged on Judgment Day.

Also, if you look at history...Man has always found ways to make weapons/tools/assault machines. If Obama took away our guns, who is to say that Man will find a new tool of mass killings?? Before it was Stoning, then Knives, then Hanging...you get the picture.

Well im afraid they steal one if they couldnt purchase one. At least with a legal purchase there is a paper trail to follow that may lead to more clues.
