Thanks guys!! I'm the owner of the Mustang. I had heard from someone that a post had been made on this forum.

The car is my DD and gets 22-23 MPG in my daily commute (50/50 mix) and got 30.4 MPG on the trip home from Mustang Week this summer.

I agree that if the Camaro wasn't so heavy that the bolt-on times would be very similar to the Mustang.

That day at the track were my first passes on my new Spec Stage 1 clutch. I upgraded to be on the safe side. The clutch releases and engages quite a bit different than the stock clutch. I think with more practice with my launch techniques and some better DA that I can shave some more time off of my ET.

I hope to get back to the track in the next few weeks!

BTW, we do get plenty of the 'It's still a V6' comments on the Mustang forums! My weekend play toy is a 4 bolt Dart blocked 347 '93 Mustang GT with a Novi 2000 and a Tremec TKO 600 trans.

Here is a couple of pic of my V6 with my regular street setup and a few pics of my '93 GT.

Nice Fox Body. What does it run?

Haters can hate on the V6.... 12 sec is great.

Thanks!!

I bought the car back in the spring and I'm still sorting out a few items on the car. The car made 529 RWHP and 470 RWTQ at just 5,900 RPM's and 11.8 pounds of boost when it was shutdown on the dyno because it maxxed out the fuel system.

Over the winter I'm going to probably just 'bite the bullet' and buy the complete Aeromotive Stealth fuel system for the car and then get it retuned. The motor is supposed to be setup for 7K+ RPM"S and I have a smaller pulley to put on the blower. I think with the smaller pulley and spinning the car above 7K it should make over 700 RWHP.

I also need to roll the rear 1/4 panel lips. They rub the tires some under hard accelleration. I think when I get everything sorted out the car should run high 9's in the low 140 MPH range. I can't wait!!!

I also agree on the V6 haters!! A 12 second DD is nothing to be ashamed of!!

I don't give a flyin rat's ass if its a V6, 4 cylinder, or a horse and buggy....a 12 second quarter mile is serious performance.

Good looking car!

Good job getting 12s. It's more about the driver than the car anyway IMHO.

Thanks!!

I have look around on the forum in the past, just never joined up. Red looks good on these cars, but also draws the eye of the law officers!!
