What is your price range?

My buddy just picked up an all black 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi Express quad cab for only $24k and some change last week out here in Comifornia.

http://www.swiftindavis.com/new-cars/stock/?No=D26079

Sure there are nicer trucks out there but its hard to beat $24k for a brand new half ton 4x4 with 400hp.

Right now, the Ford is a step or two ahead of the Silverado. Soon, the Chevy will come out with a new design and probably be a step up, until the next Ford after than which will be a step up again, at least until the next new Chevy....and repeat.

Problem is, a diesel adds $7K to the price of the truck.

So I looked at the Fords and thought I was facing the same decision, until I saw they had a twin-turbo V6 option ($1100 up-charge) in the F150. With the max towing package, it has a towing capacity of 11,300lbs! So, it gets good gas mileage and tows like a mule.

I bought an SCT tuner for it, which added 50rwhp and over 100ft-lb of additional torque!

So, I have a truck that looks like a luxury SUV inside, but tows like a super duty beast.
I bought the F150 ecoboost after trying out the GMC and Ram..

And yes, I own an F-150.
Really, you buy a truck because of the interior? Its a truck, made for work, hauling loads, plowing snow, off roading, Trucks don't need the latest of every toy available to man.

Light duties maybe. GMT-900 HDs have still outperformed the Super Duty in every real-world comparison, crappy interior and all.

I understand but chevy could at least put something in the interior that's not plastic. I mean at least 98% of the interior is cheap plastic.

How does the ford ride compared to the silverado? And does the ford have any rattles? Thank you.

F-150 or Ram, and with the Ram I would wait for the updated 13 model with the revised interior and the 8 speed auto available on both the new to Ram Pentastar V6 and hemi.

F-150 > Silverado. My dad was a huge GM man, had 4 or 5 silverados then went a test drove a F-150 and loved everything about the Ford over the chevy, the availble options, the colors, ride, engine choices, how much heavier the frame was.

right now IMO F-150 is the best overall truck in the 1500 category.
Best truck lookswise IMO is a GMC Sierra tho hahaha

I have owned both and here are my observations.

F-150:
-Better interior like you said
-Better technology available
-in my experience they are more reliable with much less repairs

Silverado:
-Better warranty
-better towing
-more horsepower, but in my opinion HP means almost nothing with trucks

So it really boils down to this, which one do you think looks better inside and out? If you want a truck to last a long time with minimal repairs go with Ford. If you need very high towing capacity go with the Chevy.
