Soy is good for female ailments & has lowered & kept in check my cholesterol.

Sorry Midnighter but that just sounds gross to me. Glad you like it. I just made the Mexican Mini Muffins from a couple pages back. I hope I like them, they were more trouble than I thought they'd be but done & packaged up for the week, well maybe a couple weeks.

Was getting kinda bored with doing Insanity and Gilad, so I bought some new Jillian Michaels DVDs. All I can say is "Oowwwwwwwwwww!"

Cooked chicken, red and black beans, rotel, chickpeas and peppers in a crock pot and served over farro for dinner last night. So good, and spicy! Brought some for lunch today!

Now that sounds good! I managed to eat out healthy last evening before a concert in Nashville. Boy am I tired this AM but did a good bit of walking & stair climbing walking to & from the concert too! I'm glad I'm off on Friday. I did not get to bed until close to 1:00 AM & up at 5:00.

Not sure how this happened but I just found this thread today.

Here is my story, mid age with kids slowly put on the weight over the course of 20 years which of course led to numerous health problems. High blood pressure, choleserol, type 2 diabetes and knee problems. Last fall I was told by my Dr. I had an umbilical hernia which needed surgery but the hospital told me I had to lose 70 LB's before they would operate.......YEAH RIGHT!!

Something clicked in my head and I decided it was the best thing that has happened to me and I would give it my best shot. Set up a diet with their dietitian and set my food intake to 1000 cal/day plus I signed up at my local gym. 3 months later the 70 LBs were gone but I still had to wait 2 more months for the surgery. I kept the weight off for the 2 months and the surgery was a breeze, back to the gym the following week.

3 months since the surgery now and I'm very happy to say I have not gained a LB, knees feel great all my health numbers are down and my daily pill intake is decreased. Still dieting with a daily calorie of 1860/day.

Thanks for listening.

I joined a gym 3 weeks ago. I hired a personal trainer to help me. Whew!! "You can do anything twice" she tells me. Or she'll put in a different number, "You can do anything 10 times". It depends on what rep I'm on. She's found all my dormant muscles!

I lost 4.5 pounds, lost 2" ~ bust, 2" ~ Waist, 1" ~ hips & 1/2" in each thigh.

I ordered my dress a size smaller, in hopes that I'd be loosing weight/inches (ordered before joining the gym.)

I picked up my dress last week before being weighed & measured. : o) It fit!!! Yeah!!!
